Who is ecoBright® energy solutions?

ecoBright® energy solutions is a wholly owned and operated Australian business and was formed in 2006 by it's current Principals, Terry Kanellos and Joe Trimboli. The company has customers around Australia, is headquarted in Melbourne and in October 2008 opened an office in Auckland New Zealand. ecoBright® energy solutions is a results-oriented and client focused business specialising in the design, implementation and strategic marketing of energy efficiency solutions.  We ensure our solutions meet client needs by understanding their business and working within our client's personnel, administrative and financial constraints.

What does ecoBright® deliver?

ecoBright® currently delivers sustainable and dependable technology to reduce energy consumption by magnetically ballasted fluorescent lamps - offering two methods to reduce energy:

• Upgrade to T5 fluorescent lamp technology through the use of the patented Save-It-Easy® electronic ballast. This small device enables T5 fluorescent lamps to fit directly into T8 luminaires. In many cases savings greater than 30% can be achieved through the direct swapping of the old T8 lamps with new technology T5 lamps - although further savings can be achieved through de-lamping. This German designed and engineered device is quick and easy to install comes with an industry leading 2 year warranty, can be fitted by anyone who can change a light bulb and has been widely sold in Europe since 2003. The device was introduced into the Australian market in March 2006 and is the only patented inline T5 adaptor in Australia.

• Save energy by voltage reduction through the use of Light Eco® Plus an Australian designed and tested energy saving unit, which when wired into the circuits controlling fluorescent lighting, will reduce energy consumption by up to 27%.The Light Eco® brand first appeared on the Australian market in 1997 and has evolved into an Australian export phenomenon. The latest version Light Eco®  Plus was launched in Sydney in August 2008 and has already sold over 2000 units. Light Eco®  Plus requires a qualified electrician to fit and installation takes on average approximately 30 minutes per device. Light Eco® Plus comes with a 3 year warranty.

Both products come with a minimum energy savings guarantee of 25%.

Save-It-Easy ® inline T5 adaptor

Save-It-Easy® inline T5 adaptor is an innovative electronic ballast used to retrofit existing Fluorescent Tube Light fixtures with conventional electromagnetic ballasts. 

Our Plug & Save technology is user-friendly - if you can change a light bulb you can fit a Save-It-Easy® device. Our devices upgrade existing 18Watt, 36 Watt and 58Watt T8 or 20Watt, 40Watt & 65Watt T12 fluorescent lamps to new technology T5 lamps at a significantly lower cost and substantially less mess and disruption than replacing the entire luminaire. 

Light Eco ® Plus

Light Eco® Plus is an effective and compact energy controller designed to be installed at the electrical Distribution Board that delivers significant energy savings by controlling the amount of electricity that reaches an electromagnetically ballasted fluorescent light circuit

How It Works

After fluorescent lights have been switched on and go through a warm up period, it is now well known and been shown in many different case studies that they can operate effectively on a reduced power supply. Light Eco® Plus is microprocessor controlled and the improved Current Sensing Technology™ functionality ensures the unit delivers the latest in voltage reduction technology. Extra sensitive Current Sensing Technology™ is also now programmable. Normally Light Eco® Plus will sense the switching of 6 twin fluorescent light fittings (about 3 amps), our extra sensitive models will detect smaller loads as little as 2 twin fittings. The unit functions by allowing lights to be activated at the standard utility voltage and then reducing the voltage by switching into economy mode.  This intelligent and safe control of power reduces energy consumed with little or no impact on light output, depending on the application.

Features

With Light Eco® Plus the savings made are easily seen: a Liquid Crystal Display panel installed on the front on the device clearly shows savings being made and the information is stored so that savings history is available for download via the optional USB port and optional software. With improved Current Sensing Technology™, Light Eco® Plus can sense a change in energy demand and automatically switch back to mains voltage where necessary. System wide failure is eliminated as Light Eco® Plus automatically bypasses to mains power if overload or low voltage is detected. A bypass switch to allow manual bypass of economy mode during lighting maintenance is standard with automatic return to economy mode after a set period of time.Models from 2.4 to 4.8 kVA are standard, whilst larger models are available. A programmable and downloadable option is available as an extra. External control of Light Eco® Plus is possible allowing the units to be controlled by timer, daylight sensor or Building Management System. Daylight harvesting is possible using the external control facility and is the primary application with high bay lighting.
