Have you ever wanted to manage quotations for works to be managed? In WSM it is easy to do this and then to automatically assign a preferred tenderer onto the work order when the Quote is accepted. Now you can accurately estimate the cost of every work request (or just a select few), simply follow the cost estimation tab on the work order and you can add labour rates, quotes, consumables, material and other expenses plus you can add in job mark up ready for charge-back if you wish. This will give you the ability to alert your customers or managers to their likely costs. Then you can keep track of your estimated Versus real (invoiced) costs.

F10 in Aperture is a behind the scenes fix it capability for drawings that have a mild form of corruption. This handy tool allows the experienced user to selectively use this fix it mechanism to remove cluttering data elements that cause instability and inconsistancy in the drawings

Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE
This Article First appeared in the Facility Management Magazine, page 30 and 31.
Digital management tools are now practically mandatory in a tertiary education system that is more complex than ever before. When BRIT first contacted FM Innovations regarding an FM system, it was managing its entire contract portfolio, assets and room bookings via paper based spreadsheets. Reports took hours, even days to compile instead of minutes or even seconds. This archaic method of gathering and reporting on critical operational data had to change. Over a short period of time FMI and BRIT forged a solid partnership based on in-depth discussions, resulting in acute understanding by FMI of the business needs of BRIT.

Happy Birthday FM Innovations
This month FM Innovations turns 12. From day one, Ray Lodge and Kristiana Greenwood started Innovating and filling the gaps in the market. Kris and Ray saw a software need in the Property and Facilities Market that was not being filled by the ineffective and unreliable systems in place or the time consuming paper based methods. FMI wanted to design something that was value for money and true fit for an organisation. Through Aperture and later WSM, FMI delivered a unique software system that takes your facility management objectives, develop key measurable key performance indicators around them and customise a software system that measurably helps you achieve those goals. Determination, commitment to quality and our innovation has put us at the forefront of the industry.
