SWAHS are one of the largest Area Health Service in NSW and they incorporate over a dozen major hospital sites in the western part of Sydney Metropolitan area as well as many more district community centres. Due to its size and complexity, the Facilities Team have struggled with existing IT technology and systems to provide timely and accurate data to all levels of business and medical management with effective space capacity information. This will now change with FMI commissioned to develop an Aperture web based system to provide both an effective space management tool and a space and capacity monitoring capability. This state of the art system will mean that regular space audits can be undertaken and managed and also business users will be able to update their room configurations and capacities in real time.
