Sustainability Management

Achieve Sustainability by linking day to day maintenance management to environmental impacts...
Reduce risk, deter liability and achieve corporate and community objectives.

The Sustainability area in WSM will allow Building Supervisors and Property/Facility Managers to record and manage data relating to the sustainability of a building and run reports and comparisons on the data recorded.

FM Innovations has designed Sustainability software to manage the environmental impacts of both pre-existing and new building stock namely in the areas of energy, fuel, gas, water and waste. With Green Leasing now a key requirement for many savvy tenants, and with a major push from both government and the concerned public to decrease the colossal carbon footprint in Australia, the management of the environmental impacts from the commercial sector is critical. Building owners and managers alike, are responsible for the emissions percolating from their buildings. Ultimately, and soon legally, they are accountable and will be liable in the not too distant future.  A market research project has been undertaken by FM Innovations in our quest to find what other software suppliers are doing to address this need. According to our extensive and thorough research, although there are some management tools specifically designed to monitor the environmental impact of commercial buildings, none of these systems are integrated into a day to day Property & Facility Management software.  It is our belief that effective overall environmental management needs to combine the daily works maintenance management (ad hoc & planned maintenance schedules) together with the day to day management of the sustainability impacts of the building. This is reducing risk as well as deterring liability for building owners and managers.

Sustainability in the Property & Facilities Management world, is overall building management and every bit of information pertaining to that building and the running of it, should be documented in ONE simple to use, comprehensive, property management system.  This is the FM Innovations point of difference.  By keeping our key WSM base system updated and consistently on the latest technological platforms, we are able to extend our product range, either by including new functions in the core system, or by introducing optional modules to manage specific areas. The client will be able to introduce these new functions and modules into their existing WSM project with no disruption to their current system or the management thereof. Smooth integration and instant results. This module is now functioning at one client site and can be tailored to suit other clients.

This module is constantly upgrading, as what is available today will grow as more benchmarks and KPI’s are made available to monitor energy consumption and environmental impacts based on such tools as Green Star rating tools and others offered on the market in the future.

FM Innovations is very please to welcome CBRE (CB Richard Ellis) and Savills as our first clients to take on this ground breaking software, with several more companies following.
